Miriamne Marlowe (she/they) is a rising Junior at the Kansas City Art Institute majoring in painting and minoring in social practice. Miriamne is originally from Iowa City, Iowa but has lived in Kansas City for the last two years. As a new member of the Kansas City art scene, Miriamne has attempted to make her curatorial and artistic practice community-based. Seeking opportunities both in small artist-run spaces and larger institutions as a means to foster a participatory artistic culture. As a Co-curator at Sapien, an artist-run space in Kansas City, and a Gallery Assistant at the H&R Block Artspace, they have participated in many artistic and educational projects. Having been a curatorial collaborator on shows at Sapien and participating in group and solo shows as an artist, Miriamne Marlowe continues to find explorative avenues for creative and academic exploration.
