Morgan Lloyd (she/her) is a public historian, educator, and community worker in the Philadelphia area. Her work advocates for an explorative and sovereign expansion of Black, Brown, and Indigenous existence within institutional spaces. Lloyd presented at several institutions, including the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, Carpenter's Hall, DaVinci Art Alliance, and national K-12 schools. This September, her 'Philadelphia's 1838 Black Metropolis' research and digitization project is featured at the Association for the Study of African American Life Conference.
At the African American Museum in Philadelphia, Lloyd is the lead interpreter of the art and history galleries; She also coordinates their docent programs. In her spare time, she organizes pop-up art exhibitions and community events.
